“There is no safety net in Peru. No food stamps. No food handouts. No government assistance of any kind.”
As a non-profit organization, Dawn of Eden has assisted many impoverished people in our local community and from the far reaches of Iquitos.
We routinely provide no-charge healing ceremonies to those unable to pay. We’ve provided jobs for some in need of work and arranged employment opportunities for others elsewhere. And, every year we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to orchestrate our much-anticipated Chocolatadas (hot chocolate and treats parties) for underprivileged children in nearby neighborhoods. Especially gratifying are the Christmas festivities we host wherein we provide toys to local children in special holiday celebrations at our sanctuary.
At present, however, thanks to the Covid-19 virus, we urgently need assistance to help feed the poorest of the locals in our area. There is no safety net in Peru. No food stamps. No food handouts. No government assistance of any kind. If a family has nothing to eat, that family is at the mercy of others to keep from starving.
We realize these are trying times, but if you, or someone you know, can spare a donation, it will help us provide food to some needy families who are desperate for something to eat.
Thanks so much for your consideration.
